Sunshine and winners...

Well, we have had some lovely weather the last few days and plenty more to come I hope.

Seven runners at Newbury today, and as I write this we have had three run so far. Periwinkle Way (owned by Mrs G Scudder) had her first start and ran very well just looking to get a bit tired. Ice Missile also ran in the same race for Mr J Smith, and also ran very well, finishing 6th.

Opera Buff (Mr J Smith), who has had a run already ran very well. He was 4th but it was a bit of a blanket finish for 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Still to come are Mrs Neat, Ninfea and Zamina in the same race. Zamina has run really well all season, and both Mrs Neat and Ninfea are having their first starts after a break.

Shostakovich is hoping to follow on from his latest win for Fred Stephens.

We had a nice winner at Windsor on Monday evening in Totheendoftheearth, she has been close in her last few runs so it was nice to see her win.

Lingfield tomorrow sees Heavenly Music run, she is part owned by Dr Barbara Matalon who is currently in England for a stay - I think she brought this fine weather with her from her home in Jamaica!

Till next week...
