A good handicap made up of largely progressive runners, but it was Richard Hughes aboard the front-running FAIR GALE that stole the show.
He had come up short off this mark when bidding for a hat-trick at Windsor last time, but was back up in distance and, having been able to set his own fractions, kicked into a winning lead with two to run. He continues to progress, but was helped by the runner-ups waywardness and will not always be able to dominate as he did today.
