Facilities

Jockey Club Estates has now made a substantial investment in the training facilities at Lambourn. The purchase of the public training grounds at the start of 2006 represented one of the most significant developments in the history of Jockey Club Estates, as for the first time the company took on the responsibility of managing property outside of Newmarket.

Since purchasing the Mandown Gallops a number of major improvements have been carried out including the complete refurbishment of two gallops and new horsewalks, as well as many other smaller improvements.

The number of trainers regularly using the facilities managed by Jockey Club Estates has increased and there are now around 400 horses using the facilities each month.

Our Services

Sylvester Kirk Racing Stables offers several different ways of becoming a racehorse owner:

Own a horse outright: Tell us what you are looking for (a yearling, a horse-in-training, a filly with stud potential etc) and we'll assist you every step of the way. No charge will be levied for advising on potential purchases, providing the horse is put into training with us for one season once purchased.

Shares: We usually have shares available in a couple of horses or can offer advice on this. Obviously, the cost of such shares can vary enormously depending on the value of the horse in question and the percentage being offered.

Syndicate Organisations: We believe a share, or shares, in one or more syndicates can be the right option for racehorse owners, particularly first-time buyers.

Leasing: If you do not want to pay the full cost of purchasing a horse, lease agreements are available for both short or long terms e.g a day or a season.

Contact Us: For details of shares currently available in horses or for advice on syndicate organisations.
