The son of Irish Trainer Syl Kirk, Sylvester worked for the Coolmore Stud before becoming assistant to the redoubtable Richard Hannon for eight years. Since obtaining his training license in 2001 he’s had many notable successes, training from his premises at Cedar Lodge in Upper Lambourn. The yard has continued to produce an increasing number of winners and has seen a steady increase in the both the number, and quality, of horses trained.
‘We’re looking forward to another successful year in 2010. We have some great owners and a good spread of two three and four year olds, with some exciting new prospects in the yard. We believe that as well as training winners we should provide owners with both fun and value for money. At Cedar Lodge you’re always welcome to come to see your horses work at home as well as on the racecourse.’
